
The Lao Billiards-Snooker Federation recently announced a strategic partnership with Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group. The federation will fully support the2025 Thailand (Bangkok) International Billiards Expo (TBE 2025) and the 2026 Guangzhou International Billiards Exhibition (GBE 2026), further strengthening coordination within Southeast Asia’s billiards industry.
As a key initiative under this partnership, the Lao Billiards-Snooker Federation plans to organize over 30 domestic member organizations, billiards hall operators, and industry representatives to visit Bangkok, Thailand, from October 15 to 17, 2025. They will participate in-depth at TBE 2025 and engage in equipment procurement and technical exchanges. This initiative underscores the pressing need for upgrading Lao’s billiards industry and reflects the wishes to modernize domestic facilities and enhance industry standardization.
The Lao Billiards-Snooker Federation is a sports-related non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and developing the sports of billiards and snooker nationwide, advancing them towards higher standards.

Established in 1994 under the guidance of the Department of High-Level Sports within the Ministry of Education and Sports, the federation operates in accordance with Article 76 of the Decree No.26 "Sports Law" dated January 6, 2020, which outlines the rights and obligations of national sports federations. Its responsibilities include representing the country in promoting billiards and snooker at sub-regional, regional, and international levels; developing athletes and sports personnel; providing sports equipment for successful billiards and snooker training; preparing teams for participation in sub-regional, regional, and international competitions; and organizing national, regional, and international billiards and snooker tournaments in the Lao's.

Over the past decade, Laos has achieved outstanding results in billiards and snooker competitions at the Southeast Asian Games. From 2013 to 2023, the country participated in five editions of the Southeast Asian Games, claiming a historic gold medal, three silver medals, and two bronze medals in total.

Acting President of the LBSF, Lich Inthawong, stated that Laos will vigorously promote billiards and snooker sports, cultivate professional athletes, upgrade training equipment to meet international standards, and seek international cooperation to enhance global competitiveness.

Strategic Supply Chain Collaboration:The Lao Billiards-Snooker Federation (LBSF) will negotiate agency partnerships with Chinese billiard manufacturers at TBE 2025 to introduce high-quality, cost-effective products into the Laos market. Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group will also provide bespoke business matching services for LBSF and local organizations.
3. Operational Model Optimization:The Lao Billiards-Snooker Federation (LBSF) learns from China's chain management model for billiards clubs to explore new industry models integrating "Billiards + Entertainment", thereby enhancing the development of billiards in Southeast Asia.
